Description
Small PCB that will allow you to fit a MOS6510 CPU into a Commodore 16.
This PCB will allow you to use a MOS6510 CPU in your Commodore 16 replacing the MOS8501 (which are more expensive and harder to get). If you want just the PCB, you will have to solder 2 sets of 40 pin headers and a socket into the PCB before fitting your MOS6510 CPU. You will also need to supply your own modified Kernal ROM.
We can build the PCB for you for a little extra, and supply you with an EPROM containing a modified Kernal – that means you just need to plug in your MOS6510, replace the Kernal ROM with the one supplied and you’re ready to go. Pick the option you want at the top of the page.
Bear in mind that fastloaders will not work, and the C16 tape player motor control will not work – the tape will continue to operate though and load games. Please contact us for a modification to your C16 that will enable the motor control.
