Amiga 500+ – UPGRADED with GoTek Drive and PiStorm and Genuine PSU

We have carried out the following work:

• Removed the old battery and cleaned up any leakage surrounding it (which was extremely minimal)
• Replaced the battery with a new coin cell battery and holder PCB. This will allow you to replace the battery when it runs down with minimal fuss.
• It has a 2MB Agnus chip fitted which means that you can increase the 1MB of chip RAM on board with an additional 1MB via a cheap expansion in the trapdoor under the machine to give you a full 2MB chip RAM.
• We’ve removed the floppy drive and fitted an internal GoTek drive.
• We’ve installed a PiStorm in the CPU socket which now makes the machine much faster (around 900MIPS) running an emulated 68040 courtesy of the PiStorm and EMU68. The PiStorm boots from an internal 32GB SD card on the Raspberry Pi which is fully configured with WHDLoad and a bunch of demos preinstalled.  It’s currently running Kickstart 3.1 and Workbench 3.1 but this can be upgraded to the latest Kickstart and Workbench 3.2.2 by purchasing the appropriate licence and reconfiguring the setup on the SD card.
• RTG graphics can also be enabled to give you true HDMI output with some additional configuration and a simple cable.
• Recapped and tested power supply (the heavy power supply with greater current output)

This is a truly epic A500+ machine – extremely fast – many times faster than an Amiga 4000!

We have tested the functionality of this Amiga 500+ using Amiga Testkit and can confirm that the video, audio, floppy drive and CIA chips are all working correctly.

It comes with a new wireless mouse with a USB PS2 mouse to Amiga converter.

This case has a few marks and the keyboard caps are a little yellowed (see the pictures) but it works beautifully.
