Issue 6U

Work carried out:

• Fully Recapped
• RGB blanking mod
• Power connector replaced
• AY balance mod applied.
• Unrainer mod that replaces the HAL chip with a new GAL16V8 chip
• Jailbar mod to remove jailbars visible on the RGB screen. Picture now lovely and sharp.
• Keypad fix – changed the resistor for the correct value.
• Case, keyboard, PCB and edge connector have all been deep cleaned.
• Keys have been hand polished.
• Screws replaced
• Heat sinks on ULA, CPU, AY and 1488 to reduce the original manufactured heat build up
• New 2amp regulator fitted

It doesn’t come with a power supply but you can get one on eBay or Amazon quite cheaply.

We’ve tested the machine with diagnostics ROMs for several hours.  We’ve also tested the machine with a combination of 48k and 128k games and demos for a couple of hours and it works flawlessly.

This is another nice 128k Toastrack ZX Spectrum.  It has a few signs of wear and tear on the case (see pics) but just needed repairing and a little TLC to bring it back to its former glory.
