Description
Replace all electrolytic capacitors, voltage regulator with heatsink compound to better thermal transfer and install a composite video modification for your ZX Spectrum 16 / 48k computer.
The composite video modification will use a PCB which will fit inside the RF modulator on the Spectrum’s motherboard which will allow you to continue using the same RF output socket (we remove the innards of the RF modulator). You can then connect this to the video input (yellow AV input socket) on your television or monitor. Jailbars (vertical lines on the screen) after the modification may be more prominent. We can make these better by changing some extra ceramic capacitors for an additional cost.
If you include the power supply, we will replace the electrolytic capacitor(s) in that too, as part of the price.
We also clean all the cases of your ZX Spectrum inside and out (including the power supply if you send that with it).
Parts are included in the price and return shipping will be added to the final price once the repair is complete. You will need to post the item to us.
Pictures are for illustration only, but good quality capacitors are used.
A yellow phono to phono AV cable will be included with this refurbish.

Spectrum 48k fixed same day!

Got my Spectrum done at the same time as my zx81 and again delighted. Composite mod is excellent and memory problem fixed – was showing and 16k instead of 48k. The pictures and and video of work and testing much appreciated. All done fast and good prices. Will be back for more upgrades. Highly recommended.
